Family History Night

Tuesday, January 14th  - 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Family Search Center (At the north entrance of the Racine Trail building)

Come to work on your family history with your fellow ward members! No previous experience needed.  Bring a computer if you can, but the family search center also has some available.
If you do not have a Family Search account, you will need to bring info for some of your parents and grandparents. Personal records from after 1950 are not public, so you will need to find information for any parents and grandparents after  that date.  Once you connect to someone born before 1950, the Family Search center can help you find records from there!
For each person you want to add, you need a person's name, birth and/or death date, and birth and/or death place.

New Hymns

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is making a major revision of the hymnbook and

small batches of new music from “Hymns-For Home and Church” will be released every few months. Shoal Creek Ward will start incorporating these new hymns into our worship services.

Sacred music can enhance gospel study and worship in your home, both individually and with your family.

You are encouraged to use this new music in your personal worship and study!

One of the ways to find these new hymns is to open the “Gospel Library App”, click on the “Library” icon, then click on the “Music” icon, and finally click on “Hymns for Home and Church”.

Please feed our missionaries if you are able.  When you connect to the calendar, you will see two tabs, one for each set.  You may choose to feed either the elders or sisters, or both.   Here's the link to their dinner calendar.

You have several options: feed them in your home, have them pick up the food from you, or give them a gift card. Thanks for your support.

Note: If you are a single man feeding the sisters, there needs to be another woman in attendance. (Same goes for teaching lessons to a single man.)  If you're a single woman feeding the elders, there needs to be another man in attendance.
